Obviously a series based on casino games, Kamen Rider Roulette's main forms (four of them) take the shape of the four standard suits on playing cards: Club Style, Diamond Style, Heart Style, and Spade Style. Each form has a varied power, such as the Diamond Suit's near-indestructible armor, or the Spade Suit's ability to form blades. His super form, the Royal Styles, are based on the King, Queen, and Jack ranks of playing cards. These three forms each grant the intrinsic ability to summon knights for protection or combat. The final form, All In Style, is the Ace of the deck, and has each form's ability at its disposal, as well as granting incredible luck, allowing for the Rider to foresee attacks before they happen and retaliate.

This is not a new question, so the primary purpose of this thread is to pose an idea I had and to receive feedback. Skip to the end if you just want to read that.
For starters, as indicated in the title of this post, the economy described in the basic player's handbook seems complete and unapologetically broken. For starters, the prices of most things make absolutely no sense: 2 copper pieces for a chicken but 1 gold piece for a goat? I understand a goat is a bigger animal and therefore more expensive, but unless it is somehow the same inherent value as 50 chickens, the economy is already broken as hell.
Then we get to spells. True Res costs 25,000 gp. I understand that such borderline game-breaking spells need to be expensive, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Do I even need to tell you just how many chickens you can buy for 25,000 gp? Fine. 1,250,000 chickens. More than 30 times the number of chickens living in the city of London in the year 1100.
Starting out, players tend to have anywhere between 10 and 50 gp, which is enough to immediately purchase a minimum of 500 chickens. That's a little silly, especially given how many edgy backstories involve growing up in an orphanage with little to no money. CP, SP, and EP really have no purpose whatsoever in-game, and it makes me wonder if the people who created DnD understood just how rare gold actually is (every bit of gold present on planet earth could fit in a 9 meter cube). You don't buy your groceries with gold, and gold coins should never become a base currency in any society (especially fantastical ones with transmutation magics).
So here's my idea for my campaign. Since I want to actually use the lower denominations of 5e's currency, I am thinking about having the players robbed -- or pickpocketed -- early on in the campaign. They'll lose all their starting gold and will be compensated with casino chips (of an equivalent value). This will encourage them to visit said casino and meet an important plot character, and offer ample opportunities for them to blow their money. If they're smart, they'll simply exchange the chips back for gold, but I suspect many of them will try to play their luck. I understand this might blow up in my face, especially if someone gets exceptionally luck with their rolls and wins the jackpot, but I want a way to get rid of their starting money without being a total spoilsport.
TL;DR LOVE THAT CHICKEN FROM POP-EYES

It took me 7 days primarily low betting the whole time to reach level 100. (9 to reach level 110.) Whenever I bet higher than 350-450K, usually, my coins just plummeted within minutes. I think anyone who reached level 100 within 1-3 days bet higher and lucked out tremendously.
Slow and steady guide:

1. Join a club. The higher AND more active the better. Absolute highest is Master 1. From what I've seen, Master I, II and III required players to be a minimum level (like 100+) to join and/or a request to join (mine was never accepted). Unlike similar casino games, Stars Slots won't let you do an advanced search. You can search for a specific club if you know any names, however. So you are left with the option to join the first club on the list that currently has the most collective coins made and which allows members of your current level to join. Either that or create a club (don't recommend). So go ahead and join that first one, but change later based on step #3’s information. Also, the higher the club the bigger percentage of extra free coins you get from different sources within the game. So it goes Master I, II, III, World Class I, II, III, Expert I, II, III, and last is Pro I. Since I couldn't join Master clubs I did best in World II and World I.
2. Collect coins. The FB group, free coins from https://www.peoplesgamezgiftexchange.com/stars-slots-free-chips/gifts or similar website, starting with the most recent and going back as far as you can. Within the game: Once daily spin the wheel; Star Bonus every 60 minutes from far bottom left side of home screen; Huuuge Heist (unlock at level 35) every 15 hours (beside Star Bonus) (the 15 hours increase the higher a level you are at for longer wait)... make sure you've gathered bucks (can see next to dollar image under coin image at top left) (amount of bucks needed increase the higher a level you are at) in case you get an empty box and want to keep what you've won so far with boxes. Tip: An empty box for one round, for example the first one, can also be the empty one in the very next round; it's random each round. I was terrible at this game and should've clicked "give up" sooner than keep gambling; Lottery (ticket to play) every 6 hours (some say value goes up at level 70, so to save them. User batmanbnb below states to save bronze tickets until level 70. It’s up to you whether to save tickets or not.); click on Shop (top middle in green) and on the top right you can click and collect free coins every 8 hours; at the bottom of the Shop screen OR to the right of the Shop image on the home screen you click and watch a video to collect coins, until you can no longer watch, every 8 hours. Also collect coins from club members every time they hit a jackpot and 1 million coins just for first time joining any club through Stars League (middle bottom of home screen).
3. When you join a club click on a team member's profile and connect and you'll get an option to connect/friend every member in the club. I did this and connected to as many people during games I played until I reached my limit. I figured people in the clubs I joined, even lower level clubs, may leave and join higher ones like I did. Probably would be a good idea to go to a tier II game (the middle option for higher betting than Beginner called High Limit once you've unlocked it) and connect to players currently playing it since they have high enough coins to play that. You don't have to play yourself if you don't want to: just drop in, connect, and leave. Then, at the bottom right of the home screen click on Social and you'll see every friend you have. What I did was click on those who had the highest coins at the time and see what club they were a part of: If the club was World II or higher I joined it. Question: What if you want to do better than this club you found (either through this method or the Join Club list) either because its level is too low or not active enough players? Click on Stars League (middle bottom of home screen) then click on Seasons (to the right of Members). This shows you where your club is currently placed. If you see higher placed clubs with available space AND you can join AND it's World Class II or higher then join it. Remember your old club’s name if you ever want to go back, just in case. If you attempt to join a club and you can't get in (maybe you're not at high enough a level) you are also kicked out of your current club for attempting to leave (for some reason), leaving you club-less. My favorite clubs were Polacy2019 (currently World Class I), pour tous (World Class I), and A.Y.M.K.N. TEAM (World Class I).
4. Betting: The general rule of thumb I found was to bet when you have a minimum of 10-20 million, which I agree with. But you can wait, collecting as many coins as you can, to start betting when you have more. The tip I read (and stuck with) was to follow the 1% bet rule: bet 1% of your current chips or even lower (like half of that).
5. Games: Everyone has a different favorite game. Some games are passive (can do Hold for Autospin and not babysit the game) while others you need to be engaged with*. Passive games: God of Sky, Steam City, Neptune's Mistress. *Note: User DilutedDante below stated all games are passive; for the games I saw that wanted my input (choose numbered cards for spin the wheel, etc.) I didn't wait long enough to see if the game would perform the action for me. Recommended games from other users here on Reddit: Wheel of Wins, God of Sky (one of my favorites), Speedy 777 Spins, Retro 81 (one of my favorites), Fortunes Jackpots (never played), and Jackpot Mania (never played). Of course, more games are unlocked the higher the level you reach. I recommend that if you are under 30 million to play God of Sky or Speedy 777 (which didn’t work too well for me, but others like it when trying to gain coins). Remember to do minimum betting or 1% or lower betting. Occasionally I would switch games and play Retro 81 or Wheel of Wins. Do this until you reach level 38 and unlocked Steam City and level 40 to unlock Neptune’s Mistress. I almost exclusively played these two, passively, to reach level 100. My method was betting 100K or 125K (if I had a minimum of 40-50 million). I didn’t feel secure enough to bet 250K or higher until I had a minimum of 100 million because otherwise I would run out of coins too quickly. I rarely bet higher than 500K. I think it took 2 hours or so, minimum betting, to level up each time. So that’s why it took me a week to do this and reach level 100. I found Steam City to be the best game overall as another user did. Sometimes, even at lowest betting and even with 100+ million coins and leaving it to play on its own, I would lose all coins. But that’s OK - just collect coins again and play again. It’s all luck. Another time I started with 15 million and it jumped to 125 or so million in a short amount of time with 100K betting playing Neptune’s Mistress.
6. I don’t recommend Daisy’s Challenges (far bottom right of main screen). The games to be played either rarely had wins for me or the minimum bet required to unlock a box was higher than I was comfortable doing. See user DilutedDante's comment below for benefit of doing Daisy's Challenges.

If anyone has any other tips or corrections on what I've said (I've read other users got into Master clubs, but they all seemed to be for very high level players?) please share! This is just my conservative and mostly passive playing guide based on how the experience was for me. Some users do recommend Daisy's Challenges or betting higher playing the 2nd tiemiddle High Limit slot machine and had better luck with those than I did.
I gathered many other tips from various users from the Swagbucks Reddit thread not mentioned here. If anyone wants me to include some of them I can.

Edit/Update: It’s been a few days, and everything has calmed down. My daughter still hasn’t spoken to me, but I’ve talked to my wife and we’ve decided that the money is hers and she doesn’t have to pay me back. However, we do still think she needs to be disciplined, since we very clearly told her that she wasn’t allowed to get any more tattoos. So we’re going to take her winnings out of her bank account, and we’ll give her the full amount back once she’s proven she can be more financially responsible.
A while ago I took my family on vacation. We went to a casino, and I gave each of my children $50 to use before using their own money. My son lost all of it, but my daughter actually won a minor jackpot and walked away with a couple thousand dollars.
Last night, my wife showed me an Instagram picture of my daughter, who apparently now has a huge, ugly tattoo on her leg. I called my daughter to ask her how she managed to afford that, since rent in her city is high and she’s saving for grad school. She said she used the money she won at the casino.
I admit I was upset when she told me that, because I gave her the $50 she used to win. That’s my money, I just let her keep it. And she knows exactly how we feel about tattoos. We’ve told her multiple times that she’s not supposed to be getting any more tattoos. So finding out that she used MY money to get ANOTHER tattoo was upsetting for us to hear.
She was under the impression that offering to pay me back the original $50 makes it her money to be used however she wants. I told her no, it’s still my money, and since I don’t approve of what she’s spending it on I expect her to give me back however much her tattoo cost so I’m not the one paying for it. She hung up on me, and hasn’t answered any of the texts I’ve sent her since. She also hasn’t sent the money back.
I think I’m in the right, but when I told my brother what was going on he called me an asshole. So, am I really the asshole here?

Jedara bale is inspired by James bond movies that were all the rage then & is still. Director duo of Dorai-Bhagwan tries to emulate the same in jedara bale with Rajkumar playing the role of a secret agent joined by Narasimha raju. It follows the Secret agent story template to the last detail, with even including a daring stunt scene that involves a chase/fight in an under construction building which felt realistic & serves well to the spy thriller narrative. Story revolves around a kidnapped scientist who is tortured to give up his formula/recipe to mint fake currency notes, with Rajkumar & narasimharaju the secret agent duo on hunt for them. Movie features all the tropes of Secret agent movie with flashy gadgets, femme fatales, an array of bad guys, a dodgy casino & a rich businessman in the middle of all this. What works for this movie is "swag" of Rajkumar who owns his role as secret agent & his charisma seeps through every scene he is in, he is enthralling in his role & as usual carries the movie in its entirety. Supporting cast features Ashwath, Udaykumar, Dinesh, Jayanti etc who all do justice to their role, especially Uday kumar as a Casino owner, who is menacing as well as frustrated & plays a formidable villain to Rajkumar. Another refreshing fact was the use of the city in the movie, most of the movie shows the city as this lively, vibrant creature, which gives a movie an exotic feel which is huge plus instead of usual deserted roads & set pieces that is seen in other movies.
Aa karala raatri - Drama - 3.5/5 - Available on Hotstar
Aa karala raatri is a debut movie of Anupama gowda & she shines brightly in this. Directed by Dayal padmanabhan, movie has a stage drama feel to it & director's choice of locations are spot on. The run down home, in a desolate valley sets an ominous tone throughout the movie. Movie starts with a strangetraveler played by JK who arrives at this village & decides to spend the night in run down house owned by Muthanna's, played by Rangayana raghu, family. Then the stranger's behavior oscillates from friendly, to preachy, to flashy, to demanding all the while which results in conflicts with Anupama gowda, who plays Muthanna's daughter. Anupama gowda plays a difficult role as a jaded bitter woman who has lived devoid of any hope of companionship & her raging chemistry with JK sizzles through the screen. From delivering her lines which borders on crass & detailed with conviction to portraying mannerisms of her dangerous mindset, she over-shines veterans like Rangayana raghu & Veena sundar, who plays the role of her mom. JK seems to be the weak point of the movie as he fails to be a sort of an enigma into his character & instead plays it as one-dimensional character & his lines/dialogues just service the story without altering the tone of his character which would have made the final conclusion that much shocking. However, the story is the king here with a dark fairy tale undertones, adapted from a russian story & Anupama gowda's brilliant acting not only saves this movie from being just another artistic misfire & instead makes it an experience to relish. Hope to see more of Anupama gowda & such novel efforts.
Gayatri madhuve - Comedy - 1.5/5 - Available on Youtube
Anant nag plays a double role in this comedy movie which revolves around the marriage of titular Gayatri, played by Ambika, who plays a pretty face & nothing else. Anant nag plays a dual role of an innocent nerdy rich man looking for a bride & a poor seasoned street smart mechanic. Movie starts with three bachelors who are in love with Gayatri, who is unaware of their existence. The start was the enjoyable part of this movie as seeing these bachelors compete with each other & then the nerdy Anant nag promised a shenanigans filled comedy movie. But once this part of story is dealt with the movie meanders aimlessly & starts being a chore to watch & every scene sucks the fun out of the movie. A bumbling anant nag is used as a poor excuse for comedy & Tiger prabhakar is used for action segments, with Vajramuni wasted in his role as a cunning driver who plots to switch rich Anant nag with poor Anant nag in Gayatri's marriage for monetary benefits. Only saving grace is the first 15 mins or so & then Dinesh chewing the scenes with authority. Movie has songs which has a nostalgic value with catchy lyrics, so if you are a fan on old romantic kannada songs, you can listen to couple of bangers here. Overall movie is forgettable & I am glad it had a short run-time.
Ibbara hendira muddina police - Comedy - 5/5 - Available on Youtube
A comedy classic from early 90s, a fun filled story made in all Tamil, kannada & telugu by Relangi Narasimha Rao who hits jackpot with this perfect family entertainer. Shashikumar plays the dual role here one of a cop married to Tara & Nirosha, Another an unemployed youth looking for a stable job. I haven't seen the Tamil & telugu version but Shashikumar knocks it out of the park here & I cant imagine any other actor in his place. This movie doesn't have a wasted minute or a character. Tara & Nirosha, as quarreling wives of Shashi kumar are so believable in their animosity for each other watching them console each other at the second half was a comedy gut punch. Umashree & Mysore lokesh as cattle farming couples capture the hearts in their iconic roles, the ease with which they assimilate into the story & get involved in the mistaken identity shenaningans is a laugh riot. Mukhyamantri chandru & Rekha das with their "Pada pooja" ritual gag is a guaranteed laugh, the Gag never ages & gets a laugh everytime its presented. Seeing Mukyamantri chandru nailing the comic timing with simple & natural mannerisms contrasts how Rangayana raghu does it with over the top acting & shows how rare a talent like Mukyamantri chandru is. Overall a perfect family entertainer where every scene, dialogues, gags are iconic. The Jokes range from adult to childish & gives something for everyone to enjoy. The supporting cast of Mukhyamantri chandru, Umashree, Mysore lokesh rivals Golmaal rashakrishna & this is a shining example of Shashikumar's Golden era in the 90s, a versatile, charismatic actor. Watch this for a Guaranteed entertainment for the whole family & its just so good even songs had me grinning ear to ear while rest of the movie had me laughing out loud.
Indrajith - Action/Thriller - 4.5/5 - Available on Youtube
Indrajith is a quintessential action movie of the 90s dealing with corruption & politics. One way to describe will be to call it Police story for adults. K V Raju the director takes a lion's share of credit for this movie, his fresh direction, ripe with symbolism & metaphors in every single scene keeps you glued to the screen. The movie starts of as a hardboiled thriller as stylish as any of the John woo films. Movie sacrifices a gritty feel to a stylish narrative. Starring Ambarish as an honest daredevil Inspector Indrajith, who blazes the screen with masculinity, churning out the complex dialogues with authority tearing through the story. Every line uttered by Amabrish gives you goosebumps, its not crass lines aiming for masses but a conditioned well thought lines that wouldn't feel out of place in a literary play. Dialogues are extremely well crafted & will need multiple re-watches to enjoy it. Ambarish embraces the angry rebel personality that got him his fame & one can see why he is so revered as Rebel star, he is fully committed to his role & is able to match the herculean efforts put forth by K V Raju. Background score from Hamsalekha is timeless, his composition comes alive on screen complementing the tone of scenes, adrenalin jumps high & emotions hits hard with Hamsalekha. More than the songs, which are amazing, the background score rules the movie. Its on par, if not better, than Hamsalekha's partnership with Ravichandran. The movie is a holy trinity of world class vision by K V Raju, melodious compositions of Hamsalekha & Rebel star Ambarish at his very best. Supporting cast of Devaraj, Deepika, Shashikumar, Doddanna & Disco Shanti are all portrayed well. Shashikumar & Disco shaanti as unhinged villains deliver a terrifying performance as antagonists. Devaraj plays a crucial role with ease, with Doddanna doing what he does best as a corrupt officer full of menace. Plot is reminiscent of PunisheDaredevil comics of a good man force to turn vigilante & if you have adored Ugramm, KGF or Police story, then you must watch Indrajith which puts out a template for Action movies which in my opinion is yet to be matched balancing both the mass & class elements. Would rate it as the best Action movie in kannada cinema & if not for the climax which is bit too cliched, this would have been a 5/5 movie for me. Please watch it.

Minchina Ota is Shankar nag's debut movie as a Director & it stars Shankar nag, Anant nag, Lokanath, Priya tendulkar & Ramesh bhat in prominent roles. Starring both Nag bros & being directed by Shankar nag, the movie feels a bit under-cooked compared to the standard that Shankar nag is usually associated with. Nag bros join Loknath as car thieves, due to financial circumstances & they are later met by Priya tendulkar who plays love interest to Anant nag. This ensemble cast is a joy to watch & their heist part is enjoyable, while Shankar nag effortlessly plays his role, Anant nag as Tony seems out of depth in most of his scenes, his transitions from angry mechanic to reluctant thief to masterminding the group is not smoothly done & feels a bit jarring, Shankar nagintends to show Tony as a perpetually angry man, allowing his rage & fury to dictate terms for him but Anant nag's portrayal falls short as Tony doesn't materialize as a complex character, in contrast Loknath & Shankar nag act around him effortlessly. Direction by Shankar nag shows his expertise & ambition which becomes apparent in his future efforts, Shankar nag never resorts to cheap tricks or theatrics, as chase scenes, jail scenes seems gritty & real. Movie has a documentary feel to it & allows the natural settings in the scenes to shine through, one never feels like the movie is watched behind the camera lens & instead transports you into the movie & to its era. Not as enjoyable as his other efforts but one can see the ambition that Shankar nag had & see the shadows of his love for unapologetic hard hitting portrayals of story & characters which gets much better with Accident & Malgudi days.

I am sorry but this is a long one & I originally started out writing as a reply to another post and it just kept growing. USA here, could be any city, any state but I happen to live in Kentucky where we live & breathe horse racing.
I love to play horses & I have a fair knowledge about handicapping so for awhile there I was more or less breaking even. And only thoroughbreds, there wasn’t enough money in the harness racing to keep my interest. I would only go to the OTB because when I spent real money I felt like I could keep it in check, then the problem evolved because OTB was attached to a slots only casino.
I had a friend who loved the slots & would talk about every win, and I know he lost far more than he won. I knew it would somehow fill a void for me and I resisted for so long, telling myself I’d never play slots & that it reeked of desperation. Until the day I actually went & played the slots. BAM. Lost the $200 I had just made playing the ponies all day in just a few short minutes. I left it alone for awhile but every once in awhile would feel the tug & sometimes I walked out with an extra $200-300, more often I would withdraw more money and try again. I found myself in a huge hole to the tune of about 11k(it racked up so fast) & suffering anxiety attacks over what would happen if husband found out I had maxed the credit cards & we had no extra cash to pay property taxes that were soon due. My husband knew about the taxes due & we were both stressed out about where we could get the money-he still didn’t know how bad it was.
About a week before taxes were due I experienced the WORST day of my life. I won a jackpot. A 26k total jackpot which translated to 16k after taxes. It was exactly the amount we needed right when we needed it. I’d always hoped to win a decent amount but this was something I’d HAVE to tell him. There’s no rational way to explain suddenly having that much money all at once. And I did have it-I asked them to cut a check & I got an escort to my car and I left. And immediately had to call husband & tell him the good/bad news. And he was torn with his response because, you see, I had nearly bankrupted us once before nearly 15 years ago when online poker started happening and I was unemployed. Again, the stress of life & the promise of escape. He forgave me then but I had always promised I’d never start again. Problem gamblers are liars. And I was lying when I said it was my first time playing the slots and I lied when I said it would be my last. After a month or so I started again, looking for the rush-you know what I mean. I finally realized it was a huge problem & called up GA. I started going to meetings but would periodically go back to the slots out of boredom. What ultimately cured me for good of slots was catching the worst flu of my life from the casino, I literally felt it creep into my sinuses as I was walking out the door after another losing night. I’m pretty sure I caught Covid that day but I’ll never know for sure because it was in January & nobody in the US knew what it was at the time. All I have to do is think about how disgustingly dirty that place has to be & it’s been enough to keep me out.
So, fast forward to today. I love playing the horses and it’s something I don’t think I can control without help. I was up & down all day today but ended up $300 down. With Covid & quarantine I will sit & play until there’s either nothing running anymore or I somehow come to my senses & try to substitute reading or TV, both boring after feasting on horse racing all day. I’m not really looking for answers, it’s a battle I’m going to fight every day until in-person meetings start again. I just wanted to share my story. Jedara bale is inspired by James bond movies that were all the rage then & is still. Director duo of Dorai-Bhagwan tries to emulate the same in jedara bale with Rajkumar playing the role of a secret agent joined by Narasimha raju. It follows the Secret agent story template to the last detail, with even including a daring stunt scene that involves a chase/fight in an under construction building which felt realistic & serves well to the spy thriller narrative. Story revolves around a kidnapped scientist who is tortured to give up his formula/recipe to mint fake currency notes, with Rajkumar & narasimharaju the secret agent duo on hunt for them. Movie features all the tropes of Secret agent movie with flashy gadgets, femme fatales, an array of bad guys, a dodgy casino & a rich businessman in the middle of all this. What works for this movie is "swag" of Rajkumar who owns his role as secret agent & his charisma seeps through every scene he is in, he is enthralling in his role & as usual carries the movie in its entirety. Supporting cast features Ashwath, Udaykumar, Dinesh, Jayanti etc who all do justice to their role, especially Uday kumar as a Casino owner, who is menacing as well as frustrated & plays a formidable villain to Rajkumar. Another refreshing fact was the use of the city in the movie, most of the movie shows the city as this lively, vibrant creature, which gives a movie an exotic feel which is huge plus instead of usual deserted roads & set pieces that is seen in other movies.
Aa karala raatri - Drama - 3.5/5 - Available on Hotstar
Aa karala raatri is a debut movie of Anupama gowda & she shines brightly in this. Directed by Dayal padmanabhan, movie has a stage drama feel to it & director's choice of locations are spot on. The run down home, in a desolate valley sets an ominous tone throughout the movie. Movie starts with a strangetraveler played by JK who arrives at this village & decides to spend the night in run down house owned by Muthanna's, played by Rangayana raghu, family. Then the stranger's behavior oscillates from friendly, to preachy, to flashy, to demanding all the while which results in conflicts with Anupama gowda, who plays Muthanna's daughter. Anupama gowda plays a difficult role as a jaded bitter woman who has lived devoid of any hope of companionship & her raging chemistry with JK sizzles through the screen. From delivering her lines which borders on crass & detailed with conviction to portraying mannerisms of her dangerous mindset, she over-shines veterans like Rangayana raghu & Veena sundar, who plays the role of her mom. JK seems to be the weak point of the movie as he fails to be a sort of an enigma into his character & instead plays it as one-dimensional character & his lines/dialogues just service the story without altering the tone of his character which would have made the final conclusion that much shocking. However, the story is the king here with a dark fairy tale undertones, adapted from a russian story & Anupama gowda's brilliant acting not only saves this movie from being just another artistic misfire & instead makes it an experience to relish. Hope to see more of Anupama gowda & such novel efforts.

Anant nag plays a double role in this comedy movie which revolves around the marriage of titular Gayatri, played by Ambika, who plays a pretty face & nothing else. Anant nag plays a dual role of an innocent nerdy rich man looking for a bride & a poor seasoned street smart mechanic. Movie starts with three bachelors who are in love with Gayatri, who is unaware of their existence. The start was the enjoyable part of this movie as seeing these bachelors compete with each other & then the nerdy Anant nag promised a shenanigans filled comedy movie. But once this part of story is dealt with the movie meanders aimlessly & starts being a chore to watch & every scene sucks the fun out of the movie. A bumbling anant nag is used as a poor excuse for comedy & Tiger prabhakar is used for action segments, with Vajramuni wasted in his role as a cunning driver who plots to switch rich Anant nag with poor Anant nag in Gayatri's marriage for monetary benefits. Only saving grace is the first 15 mins or so & then Dinesh chewing the scenes with authority. Movie has songs which has a nostalgic value with catchy lyrics, so if you are a fan on old romantic kannada songs, you can listen to couple of bangers here. Overall movie is forgettable & I am glad it had a short run-time.
Ibbara hendira muddina police - Comedy - 5/5 - Available on Youtube
A comedy classic from early 90s, a fun filled story made in all Tamil, kannada & telugu by Relangi Narasimha Rao who hits jackpot with this perfect family entertainer. Shashikumar plays the dual role here one of a cop married to Tara & Nirosha, Another an unemployed youth looking for a stable job. I haven't seen the Tamil & telugu version but Shashikumar knocks it out of the park here & I cant imagine any other actor in his place. This movie doesn't have a wasted minute or a character. Tara & Nirosha, as quarreling wives of Shashi kumar are so believable in their animosity for each other watching them console each other at the second half was a comedy gut punch. Umashree & Mysore lokesh as cattle farming couples capture the hearts in their iconic roles, the ease with which they assimilate into the story & get involved in the mistaken identity shenaningans is a laugh riot. Mukhyamantri chandru & Rekha das with their "Pada pooja" ritual gag is a guaranteed laugh, the Gag never ages & gets a laugh everytime its presented. Seeing Mukyamantri chandru nailing the comic timing with simple & natural mannerisms contrasts how Rangayana raghu does it with over the top acting & shows how rare a talent like Mukyamantri chandru is. Overall a perfect family entertainer where every scene, dialogues, gags are iconic. The Jokes range from adult to childish & gives something for everyone to enjoy. The supporting cast of Mukhyamantri chandru, Umashree, Mysore lokesh rivals Golmaal rashakrishna & this is a shining example of Shashikumar's Golden era in the 90s, a versatile, charismatic actor. Watch this for a Guaranteed entertainment for the whole family & its just so good even songs had me grinning ear to ear while rest of the movie had me laughing out loud.
Indrajith - Action/Thriller - 4.5/5 - Available on Youtube
Indrajith is a quintessential action movie of the 90s dealing with corruption & politics. One way to describe will be to call it Police story for adults. K V Raju the director takes a lion's share of credit for this movie, his fresh direction, ripe with symbolism & metaphors in every single scene keeps you glued to the screen. The movie starts of as a hardboiled thriller as stylish as any of the John woo films. Movie sacrifices a gritty feel to a stylish narrative. Starring Ambarish as an honest daredevil Inspector Indrajith, who blazes the screen with masculinity, churning out the complex dialogues with authority tearing through the story. Every line uttered by Amabrish gives you goosebumps, its not crass lines aiming for masses but a conditioned well thought lines that wouldn't feel out of place in a literary play. Dialogues are extremely well crafted & will need multiple re-watches to enjoy it. Ambarish embraces the angry rebel personality that got him his fame & one can see why he is so revered as Rebel star, he is fully committed to his role & is able to match the herculean efforts put forth by K V Raju. Background score from Hamsalekha is timeless, his composition comes alive on screen complementing the tone of scenes, adrenalin jumps high & emotions hits hard with Hamsalekha. More than the songs, which are amazing, the background score rules the movie. Its on par, if not better, than Hamsalekha's partnership with Ravichandran. The movie is a holy trinity of world class vision by K V Raju, melodious compositions of Hamsalekha & Rebel star Ambarish at his very best. Supporting cast of Devaraj, Deepika, Shashikumar, Doddanna & Disco Shanti are all portrayed well. Shashikumar & Disco shaanti as unhinged villains deliver a terrifying performance as antagonists. Devaraj plays a crucial role with ease, with Doddanna doing what he does best as a corrupt officer full of menace. Plot is reminiscent of PunisheDaredevil comics of a good man force to turn vigilante & if you have adored Ugramm, KGF or Police story, then you must watch Indrajith which puts out a template for Action movies which in my opinion is yet to be matched balancing both the mass & class elements. Would rate it as the best Action movie in kannada cinema & if not for the climax which is bit too cliched, this would have been a 5/5 movie for me. Please watch it.
Minchina Ota - Thriller - 3/5 - Available on Youtube
Minchina Ota is Shankar nag's debut movie as a Director & it stars Shankar nag, Anant nag, Lokanath, Priya tendulkar & Ramesh bhat in prominent roles. Starring both Nag bros & being directed by Shankar nag, the movie feels a bit under-cooked compared to the standard that Shankar nag is usually associated with. Nag bros join Loknath as car thieves, due to financial circumstances & they are later met by Priya tendulkar who plays love interest to Anant nag. This ensemble cast is a joy to watch & their heist part is enjoyable, while Shankar nag effortlessly plays his role, Anant nag as Tony seems out of depth in most of his scenes, his transitions from angry mechanic to reluctant thief to masterminding the group is not smoothly done & feels a bit jarring, Shankar nagintends to show Tony as a perpetually angry man, allowing his rage & fury to dictate terms for him but Anant nag's portrayal falls short as Tony doesn't materialize as a complex character, in contrast Loknath & Shankar nag act around him effortlessly. Direction by Shankar nag shows his expertise & ambition which becomes apparent in his future efforts, Shankar nag never resorts to cheap tricks or theatrics, as chase scenes, jail scenes seems gritty & real. Movie has a documentary feel to it & allows the natural settings in the scenes to shine through, one never feels like the movie is watched behind the camera lens & instead transports you into the movie & to its era. Not as enjoyable as his other efforts but one can see the ambition that Shankar nag had & see the shadows of his love for unapologetic hard hitting portrayals of story & characters which gets much better with Accident & Malgudi days.

So I remember about a year ago I finally moved out to study in a different city. Things were great until my friend introduced me to gambling. I added like 20 euro just to "join the fun" with the others while sharing screens on discord. I ended up with a blanace of like 3000 euros which was awesome but I still had to wager it. I spent 17 hours straight - not even going to the bathroom - wagering. I spammed their livechat trying to get he ID vertification part sorted out and I ended up with a cashout of like 1700 euros,which they fucked up and paid me twice. To this day they never reclaimed that money, so im guessing its as good as mine.
But after that day shit really went downhill. I was supposed to go to Madagascar in january, which I did do. I got money from a scholarship and everything, but this is where I started to lose control. I added about 30 euros everyday, sometimes multiple times a day, in hopes of hitting another "jackpot". I did this more or less every day since I had my "major hit". I also ended up spending 100% of that scholarship (approx. 3000 euros) straight on slots. I realized what I'd done and just phoned my dad who is always extremely supportive. He agreed to lend me money for the trip if I promised to never gamble again and self-exclude from all the sites, which I did. But you know how it is when youre addicted - theres always a 2nd site to go to.
Its come to a point where everytime I have spare money now, it just goes straight to the casino. The weird thing is, I know i am going to lose this money but I really just dont give a fuck, and the reason for that is that I simply dont wanna work my ass off to pay my debt off. I owe my bank about 1000€ and my dad about 3000 euro. I do have a job and recieve scholarship but I cant seem to be able to pay back what I owe?
I felt like Ive had my addiction under control for a while but im starting to lose control again. I keep making "quick 30€ deposits" a few times per session, and I cant control it. I just dont know how to deal with this situation. I obviously should and will stop making any deposit, but it really feels so heavy?
I just wish either I was dead or that I could hit that one 1000x and all my debt would be paid off. I simply cannot live like this for very much longer..

Age 21, First time sat down on the blackjack table with co workers.
Age 22, hit a small jackpot on slots, $900. Only to give most of it back by following week.
Age 23 to 24, I frequent casinos every other day. Playing blackjack and counting cards. Thinking I had a system. Mostly resulted in my paycheck lost in one night.
Age 24, I was introduced to sports betting. Once again I won some money, then it led me to think I had a system. I bet NFL, NBA, hockey. The list goes on.
Age 24 to 27, I frequent casinos more often, every other day. Often ended in misery. The wins I had, usually in the thousands, never satisfied me.
Age 28, I admitted to myself I had a problem but did not know how to stop.
Age 29, I moved to new city and stopped gambling completely. For 1 year.
Age 30, had to move back to original city due to family complications. I visit casino much less often, but each visit is devastating because I cannot go back making small bets.
Age 31, year 2020, Pandemic hits. Casinos and sports all shut down. Blessing in disguise. I stopped gambling. I'm not perfect by any means, but nowadays I think more in depth about each action I take.
Stopping gambling for long term is not as simple as it sounds. It is a process and routine. It is up to that individual to figure out what works. Keep on reading and learning.
